Tigers Drop Games In Wausa Tournament

The Ewing Tigers traveled to Wausa for tournament play and fell in action against Wausa and Osmond.

Wausa 13 20 19 17 69

Ewing 6 14 18 6 44

Leading scorers for the Tigers were: Robert Nordby 20 points and nine rebounds; Blake Cunningham 11 points, five rebounds and three assists; Ben Ramold 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.   “We got off to a tough start against a very good Wausa team and were climbing uphill the remainder of the game. I was proud of the way our kids competed in the second and third quarters and were able to cut into the lead in the third quarter and make a game of it. But Wausa was too strong down the stretch for us," said Coach Appleby.

Osmond 14 21 6       18     59

Leading scorers: Robert Nordby with 14 points and eight rebounds; Blake Cunningham eight points and eight rebounds; Ben Ramold seven points and Bryce Anderson six points.

“We did not have a good performance against Osmond on Saturday.  We played poorly offensively and defensively and did not make good decisions. We have to be tougher defensively, and understand roles offensively as we progress through this season,” said Coach Appleby.
