St. Mary's Sends 11 To State Meet

District 100 Meter Dash finals were Jessie Simons fourth,13.00; Erin DeVries first,12.71; Jordan Wietzki second,12.72 and Taylor Twibell third, 12.98.

The St. Mary's Cards competed in their district track meet in Bassett last Wednesday.

The Cards qualified four girls and seven boys to move on to the state meet this Friday and Saturday at Burke in Omaha.

Qualifying for the girls were Jessi Simons in the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter dash; Kaylee Krotter in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run; Emily Everitt in the high jump and Jessi Pongratz in the shot put and discus.

Qualifying for the boys were Tait Sibbel in the 110 high hurdles; Kyle Pardun in the 3,200 meter run; Kyle Eby in the high jump; Kyle Loecker in the long jump; Tyler Timmerman in the long jump; Tait Sibbel in the pole vault and Ryan Podany in the pole vault.
