NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The City of O'Neill is taking sealed bids to have someone hay approximately 5 acres south of the Community Center and 8 acres south of Carney Park. Also, 4 acres south and 4 acres west of the Waste Treatment Plant, property north of Valley Hope and east of Soccer Fields and the property east of Legion Baseball Field. The City of O'Neill will be accepting bids at the City Hall at 401 East Fremont St. until 6:30 p.m. on May 2, 2022 at which time all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. The City is requiring that the bids be submitted separated out by property for all sites and be done on a cash basis and before the haying commences.

No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without consent of the City of O'Neill, for a period of thirty days. The City of O'Neill shall reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Notice is hereby given that on August 31, 2021, Nebraska Public Power District filed in the Department of Natural Resources (Department) non-expedited transfers, NEX-9432, NEX-9433, NEX-9434, NEX-9435, requesting permanent transfers from hydropower production to instream basin management appropriations for Appropriations A-359R, A-1725, A-3574 and A-18503 respectively. If these transfer applications are approved the applicant proposes to assign the rights to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC) and the Niobrara River Basin Alliance (NRBA), which is comprised of Natural Resources Districts adjoining the Niobrara River Basin (Water Division 2-C). The transferred appropriations would be jointly managed to maintain streamflow for fish, wildlife and recreation upstream and downstream from the site of the Northern Nebraska Plant No. 1 (Spencer hydropower facility).

The below listed appropriations are authorized to divert water from the Niobrara River at a point of diversion in the SE1⁄4NW1⁄4 of Section 30, Township 33 North, Range 11 West of the 6th P.M., in Boyd County for hydropower production.
