Last week the O'Neill Lady Eagles finished their season in sub district finals against Valentine getting edged 65-60 in double overtime. "This was one of the toughest losses that I've been a part of in my 16 years of coaching. The way the game ended and the note that it ended on was very tough to swallow. The players deserved a shot at the district final this year more than ever and I feel for them, especially with everything they've sacrificed for this season. We are very proud of what they've accomplished this season and the improvement they've shown as the year progressed. Our senior leadership this season was second to none and I could not be any prouder of a bunch of girls as I am of the six that represented our program for the past years at OHS," said Coach Eichelberger. In the game against Ainsworth on Feb. 14 Lindsey Appleby led the Eagles with 28 points and three rebounds followed by Brandi Walters with seven points, Katie Danielson and Kelsey Appleby with six points each and Alex Hedlund with five points and seven rebounds. In the Eagles final game of the season Kelsey Appleby led the Eagles with 21 points and three rebounds followed by Alex Hedlund with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Lindsey Appleby with 12 points and six rebounds and Molly Shane with seven points and 10 rebounds.
