Creighton — Mildred "Millie" Dorr, 98, of Creighton, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 at Avera Creighton Care Centre in Creighton.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 17. 2025 at Faith United Church in Creighton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025 at the church in Creighton. Rev. John Nelson officiated.

Burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton is in charge of the arrangements.

Mildred, daughter of Porter and Mary (Sawtell) Heaton was born May 4, 1927, at Dixon. Her family lived in several farming communities around Hartington and Newcastle. She attended numerous elementary and high schools and graduated from Hartington High School in 1944. After graduation, Millie worked as a typist in Denver, CO.

On Oct. 30, 1945, Millie was united in marriage to Dale Herman Dorr in Hartington. They were blessed with three daughters Connie, Kathy and Joan. The family lived in Creighton and the rural Orchard area.

Millie was a member of Faith United Church, Stitch and Chat Club, Scrabble Club, Aggravation Club and Senior Citizens. Many hearts were touched by Millie's smile, kindness and generosity.

Millie is survived by her three daughters Connie (Don) Forman of Verdigre, Kathy (Arvid) Borchers of Round Rock, Texas, and Joan (Keith) Greufe of Marshalltown, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law Shirley Heaton of Osmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents; mother- and father-in-law Herman and Olive Dorr; husband Dale; eight siblings Harold (Tina) Heaton, Enid (Don) Bagley, Verna (Otto) Jensen, Dwayne (Joy) Heaton, Gordon (Dorothy) Heaton, Evelyn (Norb) Litz, Glenn Heaton and Donna (Chris) Christian; one grandchild Theresa Forman; and special friend Robert Nelson.
