The O'Neill Junior High boy's cross country team was well represented at the State Junior High Championships, where three Eagle runners competed in the Class C/D division. Leading the way for O'Neill was Kyler Wettlaufer, who earned a state medal with a 13th-place finish out of 227 runners. Lane Dougherty followed with a solid performance, placing 85th, while Jase Sanders finished 167th in the highly competitive field. It was a strong showing for the young Eagles, who capped off their season competing among the best middle school runners in Nebraska.
