Academy Lady Knights

In a Monday night game here in O'Neill the Lady Knights fell to St. Mary's 77-24 in non-conference play.

SMH charged out to a 25-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. With 14 players getting points recorded in the book, this proved to be a good game for the younger girls to get some valuable varsity playing time.

As a team, the free throw shooting improved greatly, hitting 11-18 for 61 percent. One of the biggest margins was our steals as a team taking away 21 compared to S/SA six on the night.

The Lady Cards were led by Brooke Bauer, Justine Blumenstock and Erin Boyle as they poured in 13, 12 and 11 points. Brooke also led in steals and rebounds, while 11 other team members had steals and all 16 grabbed rebounds. Bridget Schneider dished out six assists to a number of team players. In terms of improving they made a lot of steps forward and worked hard as a team to push theirrecord to 6-0 so far this season.

Their next game will be against Wynot in the Crofton Holiday Tournament at Crofton.
