Appleby Takes Second In State Free Throw Contest

Justin Appleby competed in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest at Hastings on Sunday,  March 25.  Appleby won the local contest in O'Neill, the district competition in Spencer and the regional contest in Wayne to advance to the State Competition in Hastings. Appleby finished as state runner-up in the 12 year-old division by knocking down 21-25 free throws and winning a sudden death playoff for second place.

Justin is the  son of Greg and Kaye Appleby of O'Neill.
