Grady, son of the late Edward Walter Seymour and Catherine LuElla (Keenan) Seymour, was born April 1, 1971 in St. Joseph, MO, and departed this life July 7, 2025 at his home in O'Neill. He was 54 years, three months and six days of age.

Grady was raised in St. Joseph, MO, until 1977 when the family moved to Kansas City, MO. As a toddler Gus was diagnosed with asthma, but by age eight he began playing park league soccer in KCMO and had seemed to have “grown out of his” condition. He constantly had a soccer ball in hand as a teenager and would bounce around the house dribbling it with his foot at all times of the day and night.

They lived in Lafayette, LA from 1979-1986. While at Lafayette High School he was the one of the first to be on the varsity soccer team as a freshman. As an adolescent Grady discovered the power of music and enjoyed it with gusto. Among his first discoveries: Another One Bites the Dust, Let's Get it On, and Crazy Train which was played every morning no later than 7 a.m. at volume 10 as it inspired his day throughout all of middle school and continued to start his morning with playing music into his adult life. His passion and love for music never faded. He believed music to be the international language that would help you connect with anyone.

Grady then lived in Mountain Grove, MO, from 1986-1998 before moving to Lincoln for a short period of time and then began traveling, working on and installing cell phone towers.

It was while on the road doing this work, he met Pamela Sue Roberts. They were married in Mountain Grove, MO, on Aug. 2, 2008.

Grady was a very hardworking and compassionate person who loved being around people. He would do anything for anyone that needed his help. So many friends and family members have called to console family members and inevitably mention how kind, caring, warm and smiling Grady was with those around him. He loved canoeing and playing the harmonica. He enjoyed going bowling, frisbee golf, playing golf and riding his electric scooter around O'Neill.

Grady is survived by his wife Pamela Sue Seymour of O'Neill; stepdaughter Tonya (Logan) Wilcox of Lincoln; five step-grandchildren Lashajaun, Leighton and Leland Sittingdog of North Dakota and Serenity and Sierra Sittingdog of Lincoln; his mother Cathy Seymour of Rogersville, MO; two sisters Patty Seymour (Paul) Hebert of Rogersville, MO, and Carrie Seymour (Roy) Brown of Arnold, MO; one aunt Jackie Seymour of Carbondale, KS; two nephews Christopher Seymour of Nixa, MO and Cameron Claussen of Orchard; three nieces Sydney Hebert (Carson) Galloway and Darby Hebert, all of Rogersville, MO, and Kammi Jo Fairbanks of Norfolk; and three grandnieces Catherine, Chasity and Christin; two nephews Emmett and Coleman; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Ed Seymour of Mountain Grove, MO; uncles and aunts Raymond and Marion Seymour of Mountain Grove, MO, Melvin and Donna Seymour of Kansas City, MO, and Glen Seymour of Mountain Grove, MO; grandparents Mary Seymour of Fairfax, MO, and Grady and Frances Holderby of Mountain Grove, MO; one cousin Chad Seymour, of Kansas City, MO; one niece Malory Chaisson of Lafayette, LA ; and mother-in-law Sandra McGeorge.
