She then graduated in 1974. After graduation, Gail worked at Buzzy's Jalopy in O'Neill.

In 1988, she became the superintendent at the Holt County Fairgrounds. Gail also volunteered at the Holt County Fair for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, tatting and leatherwork. She also enjoyed genealogy and learning about her family history. Gail especially enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and visiting with her friends and she also enjoyed attending many auctions. Gail loved cooking and canning many goods.
