Funeral Services for Connie Wickersham, age 75, of O'Neill, Nebraska will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Word of Life Christian Center in O'Neill with burial to follow in the O'Neill Cemetery.  Pastor Mike Durre will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a 7 pm prayer service.  Connie passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at UNMC in Omaha.  Memorials may be directed to her family for future designation.  Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

  Constance Jean Sholes was born on March 1, 1948 in O'Neill, Nebraska to Robert and Marcella (Johnson) Sholes.  She grew up in O'Neill and graduated high school from O'Neill High School in 1967.  After high school she attended Grand Island College of Beauty and graduated with an Associates Degree in Cosmetology.  After college she moved back to O'Neill where she worked for the Flair Beauty Salon located in the Golden Hotel.

  Connie met the love of her life Dennis Wickersham and the couple got married November 20, 1971 in O'Neill to this union two sons were born Darin and Dallas.  Connie worked as a hairdresser most of her life working for Joyce Meyer at Keep U Neat Cleaners & Beauty Salon and she also did nails at the Main Event with Karen Haselhorst, where she later retired in 2010.

  She enjoyed going boating and camping, her pets especially the racoons, dressing up for Halloween, and causing general mischief with her beloved family and friends.  Connie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandma.

  Connie is survived by her two sons, Darin (Kerry) Wickersham of Verdigre, and Dallas (Jessica) Wickersham of Norfolk; six grandchildren, Kaci Wickersham, Cody Wickersham, Cash Wickersham, Coy Wickersham, Jenna Wickersham, Tucker Wickersham; special friend Mick Humpal of O'Neill, NE; two sisters, Cindy (Bob) Orsborn of Stromsburg, Christine Kreycik of Niobrara; brothers-in-law, Jack (Julie) Wickersham of Parker, SD, and John Wickersham of Lynch; sister-in-law, Valene Mahlendorf of Neligh, NE; many nieces and nephews, and her dog, Molly.
