Carinals Have Homecoming Victory 

With 58-0 Win Over West Boyd Spartans

The St. Mary's Cardinals came away with a homecoming victory on Friday afternoon shutting out West Boyd in a 58-0 match in O'Neill.

The Cardinal varsity scored 44 points in the first half with Jared Tomjack taking a 20-yard run in for the first touchdown in the first quarter. Tait Sibbel had the next three scores with a 41-yard run, eight-yard run and a 48-yard run for 18 points. Connor Connot scored in the second quarter on a 21 yard touchdown and then Kyle Loecker took in a five yard touchdown run. Scoring in the third quarter was Jared Tomjack on a 36 -yard run into the endzone and the final score of the game came on a 47- yard punt return into the endzone by Ty Eiler with Kyle Regan making the two point conversion.

Top rushers in the match were Tait Sibbel with 116-yards and Ryan Kaczor with 25 yards. Top receivers were Dexter Black with three catches for 30-yards and Ty Eiler with one catch for 26 yards.

Leading the Cardinals defensively were Chism Sholes with 13 tackles and Kyle Loecker with 12 tackles.

In the Cards game two weeks ago they had a 52-2 win over Clearwater/Orchard at home.

Tait Sibbel found the end zone six times in the match with four touchdowns in the first half and two in the second. Sibbel rushed for 137 yards and threw five for 10 for 57 yards. Sibbel hit Ty Eiler for a 25 yard touchdown for six and in the fourth quarter Kyle Regan hit Seth Miles for a three yard touchdown.

Top receiver for the Cards was Ryan Podany with two catches for 59 yards and Kyle Loecker led the defense with 14 tackles.

Top rusher for the C/O Cyclones was Spencer Strope with 37 yards and Jesse McKillip had five catches for 35 yards.
