Broncos Win Second District Title

The Bronco football team traveled south to Hampton to take on the Hawks for the District Championship last Friday night. After the Broncos found themselves down at the half, they took over the 3rd quarter in route to a 59-46 victory. The Broncos crowned themselves as back-to-back district champions. 

The Broncos dominated on the ground rushing for 419 yards for the contest. With great offensive line play from Cory Gubbels, Cameron Kaup, Simon Addison and Will Paxton took control of the game in the second half. Addison rushed for 164 yards and 4 touchdowns and Paxton rushed for 184 and 3 touchdowns. Owen Littau rushed for 67 yards on just 3 carries. Kayde Ramm had an efficient night throwing the football. Ramm threw for 75 yards. Completed 7/12 passes and 2 of those were for touchdowns. Ramm's favorite target was Ben Paxton. Paxton had 5 catches for 57 yards and 2 touchdowns. Simon Addison had 2 catches and Drew Schmaderer had 1 catch. 

On the defensive side of the ball, Owen Littau led the way with 13 tackles. Ben Paxton wasn't too far behind with 11. Paxton had an interception, as well. Hunter Tubbs played a crucial role at the defensive end spot recording 7 tackles and a fumble recovery. 

The Broncos have qualified for the post season for the 4th season in a row. They narrowly missed a home playoff game but qualified as the 9 seed and will travel to Bartley on Friday to take on the Roughriders from Southwest high school. Kickoff is set for 5pm.
