The O'Neill Police Department has begun contacting the tenants or owners of properties within the city limits of O'Neill which meet the definition of a nuisance property as defined by City of O'Neill Ordinance Chapter 2, Article 6, Sections 2-601 and 2-602. Police Officers will also contact the tenants or property owners of properties who allow any unlicensed, partially dismantled, non-operating, wrecked, junked or discarded vehicles to remain on such property. The definition of abandoned vehicle is located in City of O'Neill Ordinance Chapter 3, Article 2, Section 3-201. Tenants and/or property owners will be given 10 days to correct the nuisance or abandoned vehicle matter before being issued a citation for the violation. The O'Neill Police Department encourages property owners and tenants to maintain their property in a neat and orderly fashion. The O'Neill Police Department would like to thank the public for their cooperation and do not hesitate to contact them if you have questions.
