ATKINSON — West Holt Public Schools in Atkinson kicked off its Homecoming Week last Sunday, Sept. 15 at Mill Race Park with a bonfire and festivities sponsored by the booster club. 

Hot dogs and chips were provided by Jack and Linda Wolf. 

The event featured the dance team, band and the fall sports teams.

Dress up days included Pajama Day on Monday, Neon Day on Tuesday, Baby/Old Person Day Wednesday, Red, White & Blue Day Thursday and Blue & Gold Day Friday.

The homecoming coronation will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday. The Huskies football team will take on O-C at 7 p.m. The dance will follow from 9 p.m. to midnight. 

This year's queen and king candidates are seniors Ellie Burkinshaw, Brandi Heller, Courtney Poessnecker, Lily Fischer, Lindsey Jelinek, Garrison Hansen, Martin Wentworth, Jaegher Ogden, Joseph Seger and Benjamin Slaymaker.
