Walk To End Domestic Violence July 30

Jul 13, 2022 (0)

The Jennifer Sorrells Walk to End Domestic Violence will be held Sunday, July 30 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the O'Neill High School Track at 504 E. Hynes in O'Neill. The event will have speakers, a candle light vigil, children's games, a raffle, snacks and water, prizes drawings and music.

Jennifer Sorrells was killed March 21st 2017 by her boyfriend in Greeneville, TN.

Jennifer was born on April 12, 1977, in O'Neill,  to Jim and Sharon (Pritchett) Sorrells. She was one of 12 children.  Jennifer was raised in O'Neill and graduated from O'Neill High School in 1996. Jennifer moved to Greeneville in 2000. While in Greeneville, Jennifer dedicated her life to caring for others.  Jennifer informed her most recent employer in Greeneville, Life Care Center, that her parents instilled in her the responsibility and desire to care for and respect other people. Jennifer took pride in her work as a laundry aide and went above and beyond to ensure not only that her work was completed, but also that she took time to get to know the residents.  Jennifer was an incredibly kind, caring individual who loved her friends and family with all of her heart. Jennifer loved to spend time with her friends and family and had a special connection with her many nieces and nephews. Jennifer loved flea marketing and buying thoughtful gifts for her loved ones.

Domestic violence is a real thing. Nobody deserves to be beaten, called names, sexually abused, a stalked and much more!

Help us walk for those who have been taken from us, those still fighting to get out of their abusive relationships/marriages and those who have gotten out!
