Funeral Services for Ron Clark, age 69, of O'Neill will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 20th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill, with burial in the O'Neill Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the O'Neill American Legion Simonson Post #93. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5 to 9 P.M., at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a Knights of Columbus and Parish Rosary at 8:15 P.M. He passed away peacefully early Tuesday Morning, May 17th, at his home. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. He is survived by his wife, Midge, 2 daughters; Dotti Easter and her husband, Mark of Nebraska City, Jacki Steckelberg and her husband, Todd of Elkhorn, 1 son; Joe Clark and his wife, Bridget (Heimes) of Lawrence, KS, and 10 grandchildren. Ron was born November 2, 1941 at Stuart, Nebraska to Francis and Mae (Storts) Clark. He graduated from St. Mary's Academy in O'Neill in 1959 and attended college at Wayne State and Regis College at Denver, Colorado. On December 10, 1963 Ron entered the United States Army serving in Co. C, 1st BN, 5th Cav. Division during the Vietnam War. He received his honorable discharge on December 8, 1965. On February 4, 1967 Ron married Midge Schmitz at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. To this union 3 children were born. They made their home in the O'Neill area where Ron was employed with Niobrara Valley Electric as a lineman for over 30 years. He retired in November of 1998. Following his retirement Ron drove the V.A. Van as a volunteer. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill , the Knights of Columbus Council #701, the O'Neill American Legion Simonson Post #93 and their Honor Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Ella Mae Peterson and Dorothy Donohoe and one brother; Dick Clark. Rev. Francis Nigli will officiate.
