Ralph Colfack, age 89, of Ewing, passed away, Friday, March 9, 2012.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Rev. Jeff Wulf officiating.

Pallbearers were Chad Colfack, Casey Colfack, Jesse Colfack, Christopher Colfack, Eric Blair, Ryan Scamehorn, Jeff Krueger and Beau Hepler. 

Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Olson, James Harding, Wade Durrant, Marc Zelazny and Don Schilouski.

Burial was in the Ewing City Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Sanders Post #217.

Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater was in charge of arrangements.

Ralph was born on Jan. 15, 1923, in O'Neill, to Fred and Coila (Strong) Colfack. He attended school in Ewing.

Ralph entered into the United States Army on Feb. 1, 1943, at Camp Dodge, Iowa. He was part of the 3rd Army WWII under General Patton in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was discharged from Ft. Leavenworth, KS, on Jan. 3, 1946.

On April 9, 1946, he was united in marriage to Audrey Klinetobe in Ewing. He owned Colfack Iron and Metal.

He liked fishing and telling stories.Ralph was a true Cornhusker football fan. He was a member of the American Legion Sanders Post #214 of Ewing and the VFW.

Ralph was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed life to the max.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Audrey; children: Ralph Jr. and wife, Elynn Colfack of Goodyear, AZ;  Dan and wife, Tammy Colfack of Lehi, Utah;  Janelle and husband, Don Blair of Surprise, AZ; Sherry and husband, David Scamehorn of Litchfield Park, AZ;  David and wife, Linette Colfack of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred, Clarence Colfack, Audrey Zorns, Edrie Sheets, Stella, Maud and Vernon Colfack, Ed Schilousky, Pat, Alvi, Bob, Alfred and Merle Schilousky.
