After winning this year's NVC Championship title, the St. Mary's lady Cardinals would continue to show their dominance and downed all of their last week's competitors.

First of the Cardinal's victims was Chambers/Wheeler Central when they visited Monday, Feb. 6. The Cards  beat them 64-18.

Quarter one showed no mercy from the Cards when they took it 31-5. The next quarter left the Renegades in the dust when they put up only four to the Card's 19.

The score was already 50-9 and the third quarter only sunk the Renegades lower. In the final, the Renegades managed to sneak a few points past the Cards but they were still severely outplayed.

Mya Hedstrom was at the top of the game with 20 points, shooting one of one three-pointers and seven of 10 two-pointers. Hedstrom also had five rebounds and seven steals; Alissa Brabec not far behind with 15 points, one rebound and two steals; Lorissa Reiman had 10 points, four rebounds and two steals; Gracie Williamson six points, five rebounds and one steal; Annabelle Barlow five points, one rebound and two steals; Pyper Ickes four points, five rebounds and three steals; Lily Bauer one point; and Emerson Mlnarik one rebound and one steal.

It would only be one day and the Cardinals were already back to claiming names. This time they visited Spencer where they crushed Boyd County 83-36.

Quarter one was a strong start from the cardinals, winning it 22-12, but the Spartans weren't out for the count. It would be quarter two that spelled doom for the Spartans when they trailed 25-8.

At this point, the Cardinals had a massive advantage and they shot down any hope the Spartans had at winning in the third quarter when they beat them 26-9. A quick 10-7 to end the match meant an obvious victory for the Cardinals.

Alissa Brabec absolutely killed it with 39 solo points, shooting 11 of 15 three-pointers and one of two two-pointers. Brabec also had two rebounds and one steal; Reiman had 12 points, nine rebounds and three steals; Hedstrom had seven points, eight rebounds and two steals; Williamson close behind with seven points, six rebounds and one steal; Ickes also close with seven points, one rebound and one steal; Barlow six points, one rebound and one steal; Samantha Asche three points and one rebound; Peterson two points, one rebound and one steal; and Mlnarik one rebound.

This match is now the lady Cardinal's highest scoring game of the season with 83 points. Their previous highest was 80 points against Santee played Jan. 16.

The Cardinal's final game of the week was played Thursday, Feb. 8 when they hosted West Holt and sent them packing 52-40.

Quarter one kicked the match off with an early 15-12 Husky lead. This clearly didn't discourage the Cardinals, though, as in the next they put up five more points to turn the game in their favor.

This was a pretty even match, until the Cards took third quarter by five points to now put them seven points ahead. At the end, it would be another five points that would cement the Cardinal's spot in first place.

Lorissa Reiman scored a solid 17 points, shooting seven of 13 two-pointers. Reiman also had nine rebounds and one steal; Brabec had 10 points, three rebounds and one steal; Williamson eight points, four rebounds and four steals; Hedstrom seven points, nine rebounds and four steals; Ickes five points, eight rebounds and one steal; Peterson three points; and Barlow two points, two rebounds and one steal.
