Jim Hartman, age 84, of Page, passed away Friday morning Dec. 28, 2012, at his home in Page.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill 

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at 10 a.m. at The United Methodist Church in O'Neill, Pastor Craig Collins officiated. Music was provided by pianist, Terry Kloppenborg and soloist, Marvin Ziska.

Pallbearers were Bob McClellan, Bob Ickes, Dale Herrington, Dustin Skrdlant, James McGaugh and Dwyane Liebel. 

Honorary Pallbearers were all of his friends and neighbors.

Burial was in the Page Cemetery.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.

Jim was born June 1, 1928, in Colome, SD, to Mary (Plagge) and Edgar Hartman. He married Josephine (Kennedy) Skrdlant on June 19, 1969, at the Page United Methodist Church. She passed away June 4, 2012. 

Jim was an avid farmer. He started in the ninth grade, and farmed in Holt County all his life. Jim loved the outdoor life and spending time with his family and friends.  

He was a member of the O’Neill United Methodist Church and was head usher for a time.  

Jim is survived by a son, Donald Skrdlant and wife, Elaine of South Sioux City; a daughter-in-law, Jean Skrdlant of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Crumly of Mission, KS, and Bessie Waterman and brother-in-law Charles of Creighton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; parents; son, Dale Skrdlant; two sisters and two brothers.
