Date: 7-9-2025 The Holt County Weed Board met in regular session. This meeting was publicized pursuant to Section 84-1411 R.R.S, 1943 Notice of meeting given in advance thereof by publication in paper as shown by Affidavit of Publication on KBRX July 9, 2025, on the radio. Dan Pribil convened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. and informed the public of the location of the Open Meeting Poster. The meeting started at 7:00 P.M. Present: Dan Pribil, Kevin DeKay, Caleb Ross, Dan Drueke, Supervisor Dustin Breiner and Weed Superintendent William Babutzke. Minutes Approved: made a motion to approve the minutes by Kevin Dekay and Dan Drueke seconded. All approved Claims Approved: made a motion to approve the claims by Dustin Breiner and Kevin DeKay seconded. All approved Public comments: None were made Claims to be pre-approved were KBRX and Century Link, a motion to pre-approved them was made by Dustin Breiner and Dan Drueke seconded it. Old Business: N/A New Business: The board reviewed the inspection and the ten days that have been sent out. One ten day was performed south of Ewing the charge for it was $2022. Spraying- The pickups are done spraying the weeds till fall and will start on the trees. There is a prescribed fire tour on July 17th, 2025. It is northwest of O'Neill. Bill stated he was going and would sign up anyone who wants to go. Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.
