Gail Ann Grenier, 68, of O'Neill, formerly of Chambers, died...

Elsie Mae Taylor, age 93, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the Cottonwood House in Columbus.

Visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 4, from 4-7 p.m. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Chaplain Ted Pearson officiating.

There was a private family interment in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.

Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus was in charge of arrangements.

Elsie Mae was born on Aug. 26, 1919, in Ewing, to Eldon and Dora (Rakes) Brotherton. She graduated from Chambers High School. 

On Nov. 2, 1939, she was united in marriage to Glenn Taylor in O'Neill. After moving to Chambers they owned and operated the Ford dealership for 25 years. In 1971 they moved to Columbus and purchased and managed the Scrub Car Wash until 1979. Elsie continued to work at the car wash for many years.

She was active at the Highland Park Evangelical Free Church in Columbus.

Elsie is survived by one son, Ken (Judy) Taylor of Columbus; three grandsons, Brant (Susanne) Taylor of Broken Bow, Brad (Susan) Green of Siloam Springs, AR and Kurt (Angie) Green of Davie; granddaughter, Dana Taylor of Minnetonka, MN; seven great-grandchildren, Brittan and Brennan Taylor, of Broken Bow and Hannah, Natalie, Caleb, Levi and Jackson Green of Davie; and one brother, Bill (Doris) Brotherton of Eugene, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Dora Brotherton; husband, Glenn Taylor; daughter, Kathy Green and two brothers, Delbert and Duane Brotherton.

Memorials may be directed to a Christian organization chosen by the family.
