O'NEILL'S GRADY WELKE dodges a Gordon-Rushville player at home last week.

O'Neill won the last time they faced Gordon-Rushville, and things went their way on Friday, too. The Eagles couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 67-8. With the Eagles ahead 55-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Grady Welke had a fantastic night, rushing for 93 yards and one score on only five carries. Those 93 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Leading the Eagles was Turner Heiss with seven for eight on passing with two touchdowns.

Leading rushing was Braxen Eichelberger with three carries for 55 yards; Porter Mathews with three carries for 23 yards and one touchdown; and Kage Pecena with two carries.

Receiving for the Eagles was Drake Brandt with one catch for 15 yards; Ryder Kelly with one catch for 10 yards; and Colten Shoemaker with one catch for 10 yards and one touchdown.

Leading defensive players for the Eagles were: Kelly, four tackles; Shoemaker and Welke, three tackles each; Mathews, Tucker, Anderson, Ty Miller, Pecena, Cort Chohon, Charlie Morrow, Blaine Sholes, and Tavin Morrow, one tackle each.

Looking ahead, O'Neill will venture away from home to play Ord on Friday, Sept. 12 at Ord.
