Charolette Rose Brown was born on Oct. 4, 1951 in Fremont to George and Dorothy (Klingeman) Brown. She was the second of seven children born to the couple. At a young age, she moved with her family to Scotts Bluff and then eventually to Lincoln, where she went to Lincoln Southeast High School.

Char married George Davis in Lincoln on Nov. 2, 1970.  To this union two children were born Christopher and Patricia. They moved to Chambers in 1978 where Char worked at Seger's Restaurant in O'Neill for a short time. She then worked for the Village Cafe in Chambers for several years. When that closed, she worked for a small business in the village printing t-shirts. She also was a babysitter and decorated wedding cakes for people. The couple divorced in 1990.

Char married Ben Davidson at the Methodist Church in Chambers on Feb. 25, 1995. Char worked for McDonald's for over 15 years. In 2000, they moved to Inman. She retired due to health issues in 2002.  Her passion then became all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Char is survived by her husband of 29 years Ben Davidson of Inman; her two children Christopher (Angelique) Davis of Atkinson and Patricia (David) Talburt of Gretna; two stepchildren Brandon (Rachelle) Coffin of Inman and Jennifer Coffin of Fairbury; six grandchildren Christopher (Bailey) Davis Jr., Jordan (Katelynn) Davis, Christian (Chrissy) Wiseman, Trevor Wiseman, Taryk (Julia) Talburt and Aspen Talburt; 15 great-grandchildren; four siblings Helen Martinson of Spencer, Iowa, David Brown of Aurora, CO, Les (Mary) Brown of Lincoln and Susan Myers of Spencer, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Then there is the other half of the county that called her either GiGi or Mama Char.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, her mother- and father-in-law and her brother-in-law Rick Davidson.
