In last weeks paper it was reported that the City of O'Neill is looking for a new police chief. Larry Wanamaker resigned his position as of Aug. 1 of this year. The city wanted to make clear that the application process has closed and that it could be up to month or better before the city will make up its mind on choosing a new chief for the department. The city had been taking applications since Wanamaker informed the city of his decision.
