The Annual Chamber of Commerce Irish' ToberFest - BBQ and Brew is right around the corner. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Knights of Columbus Hall. This year's events will take place at the K.C. Hall due to a previously scheduled event at the O'Neill Community Center. Christensen Farms and Krotters Home & Auto are sponsoring this year's events. Entries are being taken for the Pork Rib Cookoff. Entry fee is $75 per team (up to 3 on a team) and you must enter by Sept. 8, 2025. Entry Forms are being taken at the O'Neill Chamber of Commerce Office at 125 South 4th Street. This year's prizes are: 1st Place $500, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $150, 4th & 5th place $75. The People's Choice prizes also have five payouts, the same as the Rib Cookoff. The 16th Annual Bean Bag Tournament will also be held that day. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 11 a.m. The bags will fly at 11 a.m. Participants must be at least 13 years old. The cost is $30 for a two-person team. The Home Brew Contest will also be going on during the afternoon. The event will open up to the public at 11 a.m. with the Husker game on the big screen in the K.C. Hall. Ribs will be served at 4 p.m. The Rib event is $20 for adults and $10 for those 10 and under.
