Spencer — Don Truman Miller, 70, of Spencer, died Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his home in Spencer. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Pastor John Nelson will officiate. A private family burial will be in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Don was born in St. Louis, MO to Truman and Ruth (Stiller) Miller on Jan. 19th, 1955. Don grew up and went to school in Logan, Utah and later attended college at the University of Wyoming receiving a bachelor of science. An education, and state, he was very proud of. He continued to live and work there until his oldest son Jakob,was born. He then moved to Weld County, CO near Ft. Collins. Here he continued to work for Keith Burman as a farm and ranch hand. Don had two more children Evan and Jordan and eventually made his way to Butte County, SD where he operated his own farm and ranch for seven years. Don moved to Spencer around 2010 where he began trucking with Joel Sinclair until the date of his passing. Don had numerous hobbies including, but not limited to baseball, football and fishing. Don was a true cowboy through and through and was a very hardworking man who enjoyed the work he did on the farm and ranch. Don took great pleasure in blowing stuff up, gardening, was an avid collector of guns, loved bird watching and always enjoyed an evening mowing his lawn with a stiff drink. Don was a very proud grandfather to his five grandchildren Adrianne, Porter, Fletcher, Margo and Joaquin. He was always happy when he was able to spend time with them. He was a great friend to those who knew him. He loved a good time and a great story. Don was a man of his word, very honest. Sometimes too much so…Those who loved him know he will be a pillar to look up to and to live up to. Don is survived by his two sons Jakob (Roxy "Loria") Miller and Evan (Lacie "Novak") Miller; one daughter Jordan "Miller" (Jose) Ponce; five grandchildren Adrianne Novak, Porter, Fletcher and Margo Miller and Joaquin Ponce; one sister Marilyn Miller; one niece Shawnee Bastian; one nephew Dustin Ryan; and one brother Steve Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents Truman and Ruth Miller and one brother Gordon Miller.
