It was a busy week this week for the Bronco volleyball team. The girls worked hard during the season earning them 2nd seed in the conference tournament, which gave them the opportunity to play on their home court in the first round. The girls played North Central. Inconsistency plagued the girls early in the first two sets, but when they were able to pull away and keep the lead and get the win. The third set the girls came out and played more consistent and were able to pull ahead of a determined Knights team. The girls then traveled to Spencer to play in the semis against a very motivated and tough Elgin/Pope John team. EPPJ's strong offense kept us off our game. We struggled passing and playing defense which led to no offense. It was a tough night with the Broncos going down in three sets.

In the consolation match up the girls faced an athletic team in West Holt. It was an exciting match from the beginning going back and forth, both teams passing the ball well kept both teams attacking. Some errors late  in the last two sets on the Broncos part gave the Huskies the advantage and the win. The third set the girls continued to battle and came from behind in the end of the set to get the win. In the fourth set the girls still played relentless ball and kept the pressure on West Holt. Strong serving and passing kept the girls in attack mode helping them take the fourth set. The girls never looked back in the fifth and kept the pedal down getting 11 kills in the last set. Coaches were proud how the girls came back from a 0-2 deficit and battled to come back and win the next three sets. Thank you to all the fans that followed the girls throughout the conference tournament. Looking forward to the postseason!
