Sheryl was born March 27, 1958 in Fremont, to Robert and Loraine (Bendig) Woehl. Sheryl and her family lived in Fontanelle and she attended Arlington High School in Arlington, graduating with the class of 1976.

After high school, Sheryl moved to Des Moines, Iowa where she worked at a bank for a short time.

She then moved to O'Neill, where she met Mike McAllister. They married in 1980 in O'Neill and to this union two children were born Stephanie and James. Sheryl and Mike both worked for National Farms. Mike passed away in a farming accident in 1986.

Sheryl later met and had two children with Greg Dahlberg, Danika and Charle.

She worked for a time as a welder for Trail King in Mitchell, SD.

Sheryl then met Perry Bruegman while she worked at the Bristow Bar and Grill. They married in Lynch on Sept. 1, 2001, and made their home in Bristow.

Sheryl enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was a founding member of the Bristow Quilting Club. She also enjoyed listening to (loud) country music, playing cards and eating crunchy snacks and cake. She was an excellent cook, making the simplest of things taste special. She enjoyed riding in the truck with Perry, where one winter, she spent six months straight on the road with him. Sheryl loved spending time with her family, especially her children, and her way of making everything fun, her laugh and her sparkling eyes will be forever in their memory.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Perry Bruegman of Bristow; her four children Stephanie (Kent) Miller of Waukee, Iowa, James McAllister of Fremont, Danika Hansen and Charle Dahlberg, both of Sioux City, Iowa; five grandchildren Noah Miller, Michael McAllister, Micah Peterson, William Hansen and Jaxon Hansen; her two brothers Robert (Ann) Woehl of Schuyler and Steve (Loretta) Woehl of Brainard; her one sister Carrie Johnson of Fremont; father-in-law Kenneth Bruegman of Neligh; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Mike McAllister and mother-in-law Sharon Bruegman.
