O'Neill Schools Send Wrestlers To State Tourney This Week

ST. MARY'S - Laney Drueke wrestles at 125 lbs.

The 2025-26 Wrestling Season will be over after this weekend. The Nebraska State Wrestling Tourney will run Tuesday, Feb. 17, through Saturday, Feb. 21, at the CHI Center in Grand Island. The O'Neill Eagles and St. Mary's Cardinals are sending their best to compete.

In the girls division, St. Mary's has sent Laney Drueke competing at 125 lbs. O'Neill High School has sent Mollie Corkle at 115 lbs. and Grace Drueke at 130 lbs.

St. Mary's boys qualifying for State are Keigan Couch at 132 lbs. and Dalton Herley at 215 lbs. The O'Neill Eagles have sent Grady Welke at 215 lbs. and Brody Jakubowski at 285 lbs.

The girls' matches started on Tuesday and ended on Wednesday, and the boys will wrestle Thursday through Saturday.
