OHS Kicks Off Basketball Against Valentine On Road

Basketball season is underway at OHS. The Eagles traveled to Valentine last Thursday, Dec. 4 to get the season started.

The girls took to the court at 6 p.m. The Eagles made a statement in the opening, leading 22-9 in the at the end of the first quarter. The Eagles maintained this pace throughout the second leading at half 44-25. The Eagle defense kept the Badgers a safe distance from the hoop. 

 When all was said and done, the scoreboard showed the Eagles had almost doubled the Badgers' performance.

Hannah Hilker started her season strong with 34 points, three rebounds and seven steals; Bergyn Classen was runner-up with 20 points, eight rebounds and three steals; Taylor Young had eight points, 10 rebounds and four steals; Bristol Scott had six points and two steals; Mariah Kallhoff had five points and eight rebounds; Mady Heiss had three points, four rebounds and two steals; Mia Lindsay, Blakely Sudbeck and Serena Chavez each had one rebound; and Hailey Fick had two steals.
