Veterans day is honored every 11th of November, and to celebrate, the O'Neill Public High School will be hosting it's annual Veterans Day Program this Friday, Nov. 10. This celebration is put on every year at the school to commemorate those who have served for our country. In years before, OHS invites several Veterans to visit with those attending to share stories of their service. They also ask that everyone pay their respects to the flag and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The program begins at 10:30 on Friday in the old gym at the High School and is open to anyone who like to join. Visitors should enter through the main student entrance. Later in the day, at 1:30, the kids from the Elementary School will visit the High School to perform some Veterans Day related songs. This too is open for visitors This is a special day each year that recognizes all-too-often overlooked heroes. All it takes is to take a few short seconds out of your day to say "thank you" to one of these heroes to make their day.
