Lady Cards Remain Undefeated This Season

The St. Mary's volleyball team continues to amaze with last week's games. They faced off against two competitors last Tuesday, Sept. 12 and walked away with two easy wins.

Santee was the first of the two matches. The Cardinals took a clean win 2-0, 25-4 & 25-11.

Set one was a landslide victory for the Cardinals, winning 25-4. The second set was closer, but the Cards still easily overpowered their enemy.

Lorissa Reiman had the most kills with 10, also five ace serves, two blocks and one dig; Gracie Williamson six kills and one set assist; Mya Hedstrom five kills, one block and four digs; Pyper Ickes two kills, one block and three digs; Emma Otte two kills, three digs and three set assists; Alissa Brabec one kill, four ace serves, eight digs and 15 set assists; Samantha Asche one kill; Joslyn Eby one block and one set assist; Hannah Gleason two digs; Adyson Peterson one dig and three set assists; and Annabelle Barlow one dig and one set assist. 

Later, the Cardinals would take on the Cougars from Niobrara/Verdigre.  This was another smooth-sailing game for the Cards, winning again by 2-0, 25-5 & 25-13.

Hedstrom led with 10 kills, five blocks and four digs; Reiman seven kills three ace serves, one block and three digs; Eby three kills, one ace serve, two blocks, three digs and one set assist; Ickes one kill and two digs; Brabec eight ace serves, four digs and 16 set assists; Otte two ace serves and three digs; Williamson four blocks and one dig; and Barlow four digs.
