The area's summer concert scene will heat up, May 30, as rising country singer-songwriter John Morgan takes the Main Street Stage in Ewing at 9 p.m., presented by the Ewing Young Members Club and area sponsors. Morgan's hit, “Friends Like That,” featuring Jason Aldean, skyrocketed to No. 1 on the music charts during Summer 2025, and has racked up nearly 30 million on-demand streams. His debut album, Carolina Blue, features 12 songs, including the title track about his home state, “Long Ride Home,” and the upbeat “Crickets.” Morgan, a native of Sylva, North Carolina, grew up in a musical family, spending summers touring in his family's bluegrass band. His love of music led to Nashville, where he worked during the day, while building a solid repertoire of hits recorded by artists including Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Dustin Lynch, and Jon Pardi. Morgan's songwriting accolades include Aldean's “Trouble With A Heartbreak,” and “Whiskey Drink,” along with the ACM Single of the Year and Grammy-nominated “If I Didn't Love You,” featuring Aldean and Carrie Underwood. Morgan signed with Aldean's Night Train Records, an imprint with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. He debuted at the Grand Ole Opry and has toured with Aldean, Riley Green, Nate Smith and Jameson Rodgers. Presale tickets will be available, beginning Feb. 1, online at ewingsummerfunfest.com. Details will be announced soon on the website and Facebook page. For more information, contact ewingsummerfunfest@gmail.com.
