Date: 05-14-26 The Holt County Noxious Weed Board met in regular session. This meeting was publicized pursuant to Section 84-1411 R.R.S, 1943 Notice of meeting given in advance thereof by publication in paper as shown by Affidavit of Publication on KBRX May 14th 2026, on the radio. Dan Pribil convened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. and informed the public of the location of the Open Meeting Poster. The meeting started at 7:00 P.M. Present: Dan Pribil, Supervisor Dustin Breiner, Caleb Ross, Dan Drueke, Kevin Dekay, Tom Welsh and Weed Superintendent William Babutzke. Absent: N/A Minutes Approved: made a motion to approve the minutes by Tom Welsh and Kevin DeKay seconded. All approved Claims Approved: made a motion to approve the claims by Dan Drueke and Dustin Breiner seconded. All approved Public comments: None were made Old Business: N/A New Business: Inspections- Board looked at Bill's inspection. Spraying- working on Knapweed for about another week. Spurge is next on the list. NDWEE- it's a new grant- Kristin is working on applying for the grant. Need a bid to back up the grant application. Three counties would be sharing the grant- Boyd, Holt, and Knox counties. Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.
