Date: 04-09-26 The Holt County Noxious Weed Board met in regular session. This meeting was publicized pursuant to Section 84-1411 R.R.S, 1943 Notice of meeting given in advance thereof by publication in paper as shown by Affidavit of Publication on KBRX April 9th, 2026, on the radio. Dan Pribil convened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. and informed the public of the location of the Open Meeting Poster. The meeting started at 7:00 P.M. Present: Dan Pribil, Supervisor Dustin Breiner, Caleb Ross, Dan Drueke, Kevin Dekay, Tom Welsh and Weed Superintendent William Babutzke. Absent: N/A Minutes Approved: made a motion to approve the minutes by Caleb Ross and Tom Welsh seconded. All approved. Claims Approved: made a motion to approve the claims by Dan Drueke and Dustin Breiner seconded. All approved. Public comments: None were made Old Business: N/A New Business: Holt and Knox County attended an Inner local meeting with the Corps of engineers in Yankton about spraying on the Niobrara River. Bill Attended Spring Training to receive his continuing education for the year and to renew his applicators license. Summer help is going to start on May 15th, 2026. Summer help is Byron Willson and Jeff Petersen. Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.
