Holt County Board of Supervisors Proceedings - January 8, 2026 The Holt County Board of Supervisors met in statutory session with all members present. This meeting publicized pursuant to Section 84-1411 R.R.S. 1943. Notice of meeting given in advance thereof by publication in paper as shown by Affidavit of Publication on December 31, 2025, in the Summerland Advocate. The agenda for all meetings are kept continuously current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk's office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until 24 hours prior to the meeting. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Supervisor Paxton was appointed Chairman for the Board of Supervisors and Supervisor Breiner was appointed Chairman for the Board of Equalization for 2026. Approved minutes of December 31, 2025. Designated Board of Representatives, Delegates and Committee Assignments for 2026. Approved addition of a Holt County Governance Committee. Re-appointed Gary P. Connot as Road Superintendent, Marv Fritz as Planning & Zoning Administrator, Deb Hilker as Emergency Manager and Ken Stenka as Veterans Service Officer for 2026. Approved increase to the Courthouse Custodian salary to $47,400.00 and to increase the Annex Custodian yearly cleaning contract to $1,850.00 a month. Approved annual salary for the Veterans Service Officer at $55,900.00, annual salary for Planning & Zoning Administrator to $10,100.00 and Emergency Manager annual salary to $31,600.00. Approved Resolution #2026-01 to designate the following banks to be designated depositories of the public monies for Holt County: Great Plains State Bank, Pinnacle Bank, Bank First, Chambers State Bank, Tri-County Bank, Nebraska Bank, Union Bank & Trust (NFIT), Nebraska Public Agency Investment Trust (NPAIT) and Premier Bank ICS & CDARS . Approved salary increase for the Truck Foreman to $69,010.00 year, to increase the salary for the Lead Foreman to $81,885.00 and to increase the Road Superintendent to $87,550.00 a year which includes the $9,750.00 stipend that is received from the State for the Road Superintendent to have a Class A Bridge Inspection license. Approved increase to the hourly road department employees' wages 3% of the base salary and will continue with $.05 for every consecutive year after one full year of service.
