O'Neill Green Machine Takes 4th At 14U Class B State Tournament

The O'Neill Green Machine 14U softball team was at Lexington this past weekend for the Class B State Softball Tournament.

They dropped their first game of the tournament Friday night 0-2 to the Columbus Pinnacle Bank Bullets. Saturday they went on a run by

defeating the Scribner-Snyder Red Rippers 5-2, the Elkhorn Slammers 3-0, and the Val Sting 13-1. Their streak continued Sunday morning with wins over Ashland 8-4 and the McCook Rebels 11-3. They were then sent home by a 3-4 loss to the Lincoln Swingers.

Both the Bullets and the Swingers finished in the top three. The Green Machine went 5-2  in the 22 team tournament and earned fourth place.
