Last Friday, Feb. 6 the OHS Eagles continued Mid-States play, going up against Boone Central. Unfortunately for the team, this match turned out much the same as their first Mid-States match-up against GACC. After a promising 17-10 start, the Eagles were quickly silenced by the Cardinals. They trailed in the second and spiraled downward from there. It was a clear and concise victory for Boone, who kicked off their Mid-States play this match. Leading the fray was Turner Heiss with 16 points, shooting seven of 13 two-pointers for 54%, as well as three rebounds and three steals; Ryder Kelly had nine points, one rebound and two steals; Braxen Eichelberger had five points, four rebounds and one steal; Porter Mathews had four points, 12 rebounds and one steal; Maquire Heiss had three points, three rebounds and two steals; Cooper Mckay had one rebound; and Zachery Buller and Cameron Laursen had one steal each.
