On Thursday, Jan. 13 the O'Neill Lady Eagles fell hard to Ainsworth 51-27.

The Eagles had trouble getting to the bucket, only scoring ten points in the first quarter and four points in the second to trail 28-14 at the half.

The Lady Eagles tried to keep pace with the Bulldogs in the second half but a rough fourth only scoring two points sank the game plan.

Emma Smith led the Eagles with nine points, four rebounds and one steal; Kirsten Welke six points and four rebounds; Keeley Chavez five points, four rebounds and one steal; Lauryn Dusatko two points and one rebound; Zelie Sorensen two points, eight rebounds and two steals; Ashley Pischel two points and two rebounds; and Presley Heiss one point and three rebounds.

The O'Neill Lady Eagles traveled to Creighton to face another Bulldog team last Saturday, Jan. 15 and fell short losing 59-48.

The Eagles fell short on the boards with Lauren Young out due to injury. The Eagles trailed at the half 33-23 and couldn't make up the slack.

Smith led with 12 points and three rebounds; Welke 10 points and two steals; Olivia Young 10 points, two rebounds and two steals; Heiss six points, and one steal; Sorensen five points and one rebound; Chavez three points, two rebounds and one steal; and Autumn Hilker one point.
