The O'Neill Lady Eagles are headed to the Nebraska State Golf Tourney. The team competed in districts at the Fairplay Golf Course in Norfolk on Monday, Oct. 4. The Lady Eagles ended up placing third as a team with a score of 412 just 2 strokes behind Laurel-Concord who received runner up with a score of 410. Individually Kaylin Gaughenbaugh placed fourth with a score of 94. Gaughenbaugh scored a 50 on her front nine but was able to come back with only 44 on the back nine. "This is an impressive feat to come back and cut that many strokes," said Coach Ashley Belmer. Additional scores for individual players were: Cece Mlnarik 104, Madi Hampton 106, Olivia Jarman 108, Claire Popkes 129 State golf will be next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 11 and 12 at Elks Country Club in Columbus.
