ST. MARY'S Lane Bybee desperately looks for an out while Summerland Bobcats close in.

The near-undefeated St. Mary's Cardinals continued their supremacy last week when they visited two schools for some ball.

Their first victim was Summerland on Thursday, Jan. 15.

Right out the gate the Cardinals were soaring in all directions. The Bobcats were struggling to keep up, with the exception of the second quarter where they kept a close pace. Offense was the priority and the Cards had the advantage the whole way through. Overall, this was another remarkable showing from the Cardinals.

Logan Brabec stole the spotlight with 28 points, shooting for 6 of 11 three-pointers for 55% and five of seven two-pointers for 71%, as well as seven rebounds and two steals; Ben Barlow also had a big night with 25 points, shooting two of six three-pointers for 33% and eight of 11 three-pointers for 83%, as well as five rebounds and two steals; Lane Bybee had 14 points, seven rebounds and two steals; James Eby had seven points, three rebounds and three steals; Eli Banks had four points and 11 rebounds; Xzavier Parks had three points and one rebound; Max Berg had two points and one rebound; and Drake Berg had two rebounds.

After a short two day's rest, the boys were ready to get back to it. They were invited to Chambers to end the week's play.

It seemed the Cardinals had finally met their match, with both teams butting heads at 17 points. Not ready to face another loss this season, the Cards locked in and propelled the score to 39-26 going into half-time. If the Renegades were in deep water before, they were sunk in the third when the Cards pushed them down 32-15. One final stride from the Cards put the Renegades down for good.

Barlow had a standout performance with 27 points, shooting four of seven three-pointers for 57% and seven of 12 two-points for 58%, as well as nine rebounds and four steals; Bybee had 17 points, 11 rebounds and one steal; Eby had 16 points, four rebounds and one steal; L. Brabec had 16 points, three rebounds and three steals; Parks had six points, two rebounds and two steals; E. Banks had two points, two rebounds and one steal; C. Banks had two points and one rebound; D. Berg had five rebounds; M. Berg had three rebounds; and M. Brabec had one steal.
