The Stuart Bronco Football Team got to 3-0 on the season when they beat the #3 team in Class D6, Silver Lake Mustangs, 41-19. During a very hot afternoon at Stuart Park, the Broncos' defense made timely plays, and the offense was steady in their victory.

Kayde Ramm and Drew Schmaderer led the offense for the Broncos. Schmaderer had a monstrous day scoring five touchdowns. Schmaderer had five catches for 88 yards and four touchdowns and only six carries for 83 yards and one touchdown. Ramm was the guy delivering those passes to Schmaderer. Ramm was 9/14 for 149 yards. Four of those completions went for touchdowns. Owen Littau did his thing running the football. Littau had 12 carries for 70 yards and one touchdown. Atwood Albrecht had some timely catches for the Broncos. Albrecht had three catches for 58 yards. Nigel Addison helped shut the door on the ball game carrying the ball six times for 35 yards. All of Addison's carries were in the fourth quarter. The Broncos' offensive line again dominated the line of scrimmage. Cameron Kaup, Zane Doke and Trey Wallinger were all a big part of that. Lane Boelter also connected on two extra points for the Broncos.

The Broncos' defense held strong against a solid Silver Lake offense. Albrecht led the defense with nine tackles. Littau wasn't far behind with seven tackles and a fumble recovery. Addison also had seven tackles and a couple of big pass break-ups. Sophomores, Tommy Paxton, Brook Wallinger, Hayden Dvorak and Austin Connot all had great defensive games for the Broncos. Schmaderer ended the Mustangs hope with an interception on their final drive. After the interception, the Broncos ran out the clock for the victory.

The Broncos will travel to Elm Creek Friday afternoon. They will be playing the Garden County Eagles at a neutral site due to the game being picked up late. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
