Yankton, SD — Beverly Ann Rokahr, 93, of Yankton, SD, formerly of Page, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Venus. Rev. Ryan Janke will officiate.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Beverly, daughter of Delbert and Lillie (Miller) Boelter, was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Walnut. Beverly attended Knox County Walnut Grove School through the third grade, Cream Ridge Country School District #39 through the eighth grade, and graduated from O'Neill High School in 1950. She then attended secretarial school in Lincoln. Beverly worked for Child Welfare in Lincoln and at Norfolk Daily News in Norfolk prior to her marriage.

Beverly was united in marriage to Norman Rokahr on May 3, 1953, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. They were blessed with four children Steve, Douglas, Kevin and Colene.

After their marriage, Beverly and Norman first lived on a farm in Knox country before moving to a farm in Holt County in 1956. Besides caring for her children, Beverly helped her husband on the farm, milking many cows through the years. She also raised chickens and a garden, canning the produce for her family. Beverly made homemade bread for her family every Saturday.

Beverly was very active at St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. She was a member of the Ladies Aid, LWML and served as the circuit president for a time. She participated in a bowling league until she was 90 years old and was also an avid Husker fan. She enjoyed watching the Gameshow Network, playing scrabble, doing crossword puzzles and she loved her sweets. Beverly sat on the election board for a number of years and was Clerk of Iowa Township from 1975 to 2007.

Beverly is survived by her four children Steve (Alice) Rokahr of Yankton, SD, Doug (Bridgette) Rokahr of Page, Kevin (Jianna) Rokahr of Yankton, SD, and Colene (Jake) Byard of Waterville, KS; nine grandchildren Angela (Jason) Baszler of St. Cloud, MN, Christopher (Jenifer) Rokahr of Denver, CO, Adam Rokahr of Page, Lindsey Rokahr of Hastings, Chad Rokahr of Norfolk, Nicholas (Ashley) Rokahr of Branson, MO, Spenser (Krista) Rokahr of Columbus, Kelsey Rokahr of Lennox, SD, and Zac (Beth) Byard of Gilbert, AZ; 21 great-grandchildren Ella, Brooks and Harris Braszler, TaLena Woodard, Shayd Rokahr, Macy Rokahr, Rylee Rokahr, Charlie and Carter Anson, Jaxsen Rokahr, Angelina Rokahr, Thomas Rokahr, Asa, Ezra and Ellia Rokahr, Kylar, Harpyr, Tuckyr and Henley Rokahr and Declan and Rowan Byard; one sister Vivienne LeMasters; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Delbert and Lillie Boelter, husband Norman Rokahr, parents-in-law Fritz and Bernice Rokahr, two sisters Marie (Elven) Hamilton and Arlene (Bernard) Montgomery, one grandson Jeremiah Byard and one brother-in-law Fred (Beulah) Rokahr.
