The Summertime celebrations will be wrapping up soon with Atkinson Hay Days taking place from Aug. 15-17. Friday will begin with Food at 10 a.m. across from the Speedee Mart. There will be an Escape Room from 4-8 p.m. at the former Anson's Feed Building in downtown Atkinson. The Ranch Rodeo will start at 7 p.m. at the Atkinson Rodeo Grounds. The Street Dance will take place from 9 p.m. until 12 a.m.. The Hay Days Coronation will take place at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 will start early with a 6 a.m. Registration with a Fun Run, Walk and Bike Ride to begin at 7 a.m. Dilly Bar Sales will start at 10 a.m. through the Duck Races at the former Connie's Cut and Curl. The Hay Day's Parade will start at 10:30 a.m. in Downtown Atkinson. The Show & Shine will be from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the city park. The Escape room will run again from 12 until 8 p.m. and their will be free swimming at the city pool. A Teen Dance will be held from 9 p.m. until 12 a.m. at the Farmers Market. On Sunday there will be Community Church Service at 8:30 a.m. at the Farmers Market and you are advised to bring your own chair. There will be free swimming again and a 5 p.m. Barbecue in the park as well as Bounce Houses in the park from 12 - 7 p.m. This is just a quick list of some of the events going on.
