Cliff was born May 12, 1941 at the home place on a ranch South of Atkinson to Lawrence and Evelyn (Smith) Pacha. He was welcomed by his older sister Artha, now Artha Frickel.

Early in Cliff's life he grew up working with his Dad learning the cattle and horse business along with shoeing horses and taking part in roping events. That knowledge was so beneficial when later in life it led him to the sale barn business and rodeoing.

He attended high school at Atkinson.

Cliff married Kay Roether and to this union four children were born Kim (Brad) Warnke, Kelly Pacha, Karmen (Dan) Penry and Kyle (Geneva) Pacha.  He tragically lost his son Kelly in 1981.

Cliff was blessed with many grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On Dec. 12, 2012, Cliff married Shirli Halstead. This marriage blessed him with three stepchildren and their spouses Tim (Doris) Henning, Jeff (Wanda) Henning and Kristy (Tony) Perry.

His hobbies included hunting water fowl and birds and fishing with his boys, grandsons, Tim Henning and many good friends. He was an avid golfer and word has it that he was a pretty good one too.

His pride and joy was growing his tomatoes and sharing them with friends and family, grooming his beautiful yard and driving the riding lawn mower.

He was an active member of both the Lions Club and the Masons.

Most townspeople knew he also had another talent and that was his beautiful whistling. He whistled for the eighth grade graduation class and a Hay Days Celebration. Probably the most important talent he possessed was his selfless giving way of life and always reaching out to help others. He was a real God loving cowboy.
