Last week the O’Neill Eagles competed at the B-4 District Meet held at Pawnee Park, hosted by Columbus Scotus. The boys’ team finished seventh with 36 points.

Leading the Eagles was the O’Neill vault crew. Kolby Dean continued his dominance in the vault, winning the district meet with an effort of 14’ 2”. Andrew Alder also competed well, with vaulting his personal best by eight inches, 12’ 4”. Tanner Storjohann placed fourth in the vault.

Francisco Perez placed third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.66. Earning the right to compete at Burke Stadium.

Michael Poese placed fifth in the 800 meter run. Brady Thompson placed sixth in the 1600 meter run. Brady Sidak placed fourth and Sean Coventry fifth in the high jump.

“The team worked hard. The team gave really good effort overall,” said Coach Hilker.

The Class B will compete in the afternoon session, May 17th, starting at 3 p.m. at Burke Stadium. All classes will compete Saturday, starting at 9:30 a.m.
