The Lady Eagle Volleyball played nine games, bringing their record up a bit from last week now sitting at a 10-8 record as of Monday, Sept. 28.

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, the girls traveled to Creighton for a triangular. The girls downed Creighton in two sets, winning 25-17 and 25-14.

Meg Schluns led the Eagles with ten kills and one ace serve; Blair Gutshall eight kills; Preslie Robertson three kills; Autumn Hilker two kills and one ace serve; Madisyn Hilker one kill and two ace serves; and Alissa Eichelberger 20 set assists.

In the second game of the triangular, the Eagles won in three sets against Summerland, winning 25-19, 21-25 and 25-21.

Gutshall led the Eagles with eight kills, three blocks, one ace serve and 24 digs; Robertson seven kills, one ace serve and 12 digs; Schluns five kills, one block and 18 digs; Eichelberger two kills, one ace serve, two blocks, 16 digs and 18 set assists; Autumn Hilker one kill, one block and 11 digs; and Madisyn Hilker one kill, one ace serve, one block and six digs.

On Thursday, Sept. 24 the Eagles hosted a triangular with Wayne and Hartington C.C.

In the first game, the Eagles fell 25-21 and 25-12 to Wayne.

The girls struggled as the girls had one sub on the bench. The Blue Devils went on to win the triangular as well.

Gutshall had six kills, one ace, one block and seven digs; Schluns four kills, three ace serves and 21 digs; Robertson four kills and nine digs; and Eichelberger one kill, one ace serve and 12 digs.

In the final match the Eagles fell to the Cedar Catholic Trojans 25-15 and 25-9. No stats were available for this match.

On Saturday, Sept. 26 the Eagles traveled to Central City for an Invite.

The Eagles took down Wood River in two sets, winning 30-28 and 25-22.

Gutshall led again for the Eagles with 16 kills, three ace serves, three blocks and seven digs; Schluns six kills and 18 digs; Robertson six kills and five digs; Eichelberger two kills, four digs and 26 set assists; Madisyn Hilker one kill, one ace serve and one block; and Autumn Hilker two kills, one ace serve and ten digs.

The Eagles lost a game to Lutheran Northeast, losing in two sets 25-17 and 25-6.

Gutshall led the Eagles with five kills and nine digs; Robertson three kills and four digs; Schluns one kill and 13 digs; Eichelberger one ace serve, seven digs and eight set assists.

The Eagles won over Riverside in two sets, winning 25-18 and 25-18.

Schluns led the Eagles with six kills, one ace and 12 digs; Gutshall six kills, two ace serves and 13 digs; Eichelberger two kills, four ace serves and four digs; Autumn Hilker one kill, one ace serve and 12 digs; Madisyn Hilker one kill and two digs; Robertson one kill, three ace serves and six digs; and Sydney Young one kill.

The last of the opponents the girls faced on Saturday was against Wood River. The Eagles won in two sets, winning 30-28 and 25-22.

Gutshall dominated the action with 16 kills, three ace serves, three blocks and seven digs; Schluns six kills and 18 digs; Robertson six kills and five digs; Eichelberger two kills, four digs and 26 set assists; Autumn Hilker two kills, one ace serve and ten digs; and Madisyn Hilker one kill, one ace serve and one block.
