The O’Neill Lady Eagles competed in a their first track meet since the 2019 State Meet 670 days ago. The Lady Eagles competed well enough to finish in 3rd place out of 18 other Class B teams.

Blair Gutshall had a good day as she won the 60 HH. Her prelim time of 9.78 puts her 3rd All Time at O’Neill High School in the event.

The jumpers competed well also. Senior Meg Schluns finished in 2nd place with a leap of 16-01.75. Junior, Lauren Young, also placed 2nd in the Triple Jump going 33-05.00.

Meg, Blair and Lauren joined Alyssa Eichleberger to sprint to a 2nd place finish in the 4 X 400 Relay with a time of 4:23.86.

“I was pleased with our results today after taking a year off of track due to Covid. It was awesome to see these athletes compete again at at a high level at such a competitive meet. We look forward to competing next Friday at the annual Ainsworth Relays.”
