O'Neill's Meg Schluns puts a shot up against Mara Ranslem of Boone Central during last Friday's, Jan. 8 game.

The O'Neill Lady Eagles had two wins this past week. On Tuesday, Jan 5 the Lady Eagles defeated the Winnebago Indians 54-33 and on Friday, Jan. 8 they traveled to Albion for the win over Boone Central 47-23.

In the match against the Indians the Eagles dominated the match outscoring the Indians in all quarters with a 26-13 lead at the half.

The Eagles continued to dominate in the second half with the Indians trying for a little comeback keeping pace with the Eagles in the third but it was to little to late for the Indians.

Blair Gutshall led the Eagles with 18 points, five rebounds and one steal; Zelie Sorensen 11 points, one rebound and two steals; Alyssa Eichelberger 10 points, four rebounds and two steals; Lauren Young eight points, eight rebounds and two steals; Presley Heiss four points; and Meg Schluns three points, seven rebounds and four steals.

On Friday the girls took to the road to Albion and put a solid 24 point beatdown on the Boone Central Cardinals.

The girls led 20-12 at the half and didn't look back out scoring the Cardinals in every stanza.

Young led the Eagles in this match with 19 points, five rebounds and five steals; Schluns 11 points, 10 points and one steal; Gutshall six points, three rebounds and one steal; Sorensen four points, two rebounds and two steals; Kiersten Wielke three points, three rebounds and one steal; Eichleberger two points, three rebounds and one steal; and Heiss two points.
